Blue Bird Home and Community Support can assist NDIS participants in maintaining their independence at home by providing assistance with routine domestic tasks that are vital to their well-being. Our hospitable and cheerful staff will ensure that your residence is maintained to your complete satisfaction and in accordance with your requirements.

 

The following are several instances in which Blue Bird Home and Community Support can be of assistance with household tasks:

Housekeeping and sanitary duties, such as vacuuming, dusting, and mopping  surfaces.

Laundry responsibilities, such as laundering, ironing, and arranging garments.

Meal planning and preparation assistance, including cooking and grocery purchasing.

Support in the organisation and management of daily activities and procedures.

Assist with general  garden maintenance.

Assist in taking care of household appliances, including refrigerators and laundry machines.

 

Community participation

At this time Activities promoting social inclusion and community involvement are planned and executed by our organisation. engagements in Each participant's specific interests and objectives are taken into consideration when organising excursions. Nature excursions are a few of the possible activities through community involvement. Drives filled with sightseeing the barbeque A variety of park exploration Meals and group excursions.

Daily activities

 Blue Bird Home and Community Support assists individuals with disabilities in attaining their objectives and enhancing their standard of living. Our personnel are available to provide assistance with various daily personal tasks, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, managing continence, medication reminders, and meal preparation. Support with communication, encompassing guidance on utilising assistive technology and interacting with others. 

Life skill enhancement
 

Blue Bird and community support aid in the enhancement and development of participants' skills through the following activities: 

  • Assist them in meal planning to ensure they are preparing nutritious meals 
     

  • Staff can provide financial and budgetary assistance 
     

  • Our personnel can facilitate the development of social skills by organising social outings and fostering 

  • relationships. regard for relationships.

  • Staff support may aid the individual in securing employment.
     

  • The staff is willing to provide assistance in acquiring new interests.
     

  • Assistance in the development of speech and communication abilities.

Assist life  stage transition

Blue Bird Home and Community Services must create a comprehensive plan that promotes community engagement, self-empowerment, and individual needs to help participants transition through life phases.

  • Professionals, customers, and their families or support networks must communicate. Thus, all parties are informed and can decide.  

  • Coordinate provider and location services to maintain care continuity. Healthcare, social services, community, and other organisations may need to collaborate.

  • Prepare clients and carers for change. Communication, self-care, mobility, and medication management can be taught.

  • Ensure Resource Access: Link clients, families, and community support services. Examples include financial aid, transportation, counselling, and support groups.  

  • Client advocacy and empowerment: Encourage clients to express their needs throughout transition. This may involve rights education, self-advocacy, and basic services.  

  • Helping clients with physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs is comprehensive. Care classes may involve holistic therapy, socialisation, and amusement.

  • Assess and adapt client progress and care methods. Services are customisable to client demands. 

Travel and Transport

Our organisation can assist NDIS recipients in reaching their objectives by facilitating their access to community activities, safe and independent travel, and participation in social and economic endeavours, including:  providing transportation for individuals to and from medical appointments, such as physical therapy sessions and doctor visits. aid them in their transportation to and from employment. Support in organising and attending social gatherings, including cinema, concerts, and community events. Provide support in observing religious services can provide assistance in utilising public transportation, including subways, railways, and buses. can assist with the operation of accessible vehicles and wheelchair lifts, among other adaptive apparatus. We can assist them with activities of daily living such as banking and grocery purchasing, as well as travel to see their loved ones.
